BeyondCorp: Design to Deployment

Many have talked about zero-trust networks, where perimeter defenses such as firewalls are the primary barriers to access. The problem of course is that leaves a soft underbelly to be exploited by those who get past  the perimeter. This initiative treats all networks, even internet corporate networks, as equally dangerous, and necessarily involved creating webapp style services for basically all enterprise systems; not something the average company can do for themselves. Still, it’s a fascinating paper, and even small orgs can learn a lot: the theories underlying the strategy, at least, aren’t new.
